Take a virtual tour of the farm!!

Can't come to Garden Delights CSA and Herb Farm in person just yet - no problem! Check out the pictures below to see some of the things we do on the farm throughout the year.
July Garden SUMMER ---The garden is at its best in mid-summer. Produce and herbs are in full swing and CSA baskets are full every week.
Erin and Kieran keeping busy. My turn to drive, Mom. SPRING -- The jolly red tractor is very useful around the farm.
Eggs over easy anyone? We have two kinds of chickens on the farm. These in the coop are our egg layers. They are Rhode Island Reds and the hens are guided by their long tailed exotic master, Mr. Speckles. In the spring we also raise what are called fryers. These are meat chickens we raise for our own eating. In this way we know where our eggs and chicken come from and know that no hormones, chemicals or other unsavory products will be in the food we eat.
Cooking class Fall 2012 -- We tried our hand at teaching a cooking class at Clark College's Mature learning program. Erin stirs the pot and adds some herbs to the tasty chicken noodle soup.
WINTER-- Work doesn't end on the farm even during the winter. The early part of 2012, while there were a few days of somewhat sunny weather, found us out expanding our planting area, specifically for additonal herbs.

The blue rain barrel gets water from the downspout of the roof from the shop. This gives us water for the plants inside the greenhouse EARLY SPRING --- The greenhouse is in its third year of use. We start plants here and winter over others. This winter of 2011, we grew parsley in our cedar planters. Turned out great.
Hey, anybody got a treat! BJ Sata, an Arabian is our resident horse that lives on the farm. BJ is an elderly gentleman(28 years old) but doesn't know it. He just knows that he is sooooo cute.
Happy Halloween FALL --- The end of the CSA season brought a celebration in time for Halloween and a delightful jack-o-lantern.
Mo-o-ove over and give me some hay, too. We raise beef calves on the farm, too. Most every year we will have all natural pasture fed beef for sale in the fall. This makes the beef very lean and tasty. Details will be posted on the website.
EARLY SUMMER -- Always our farm helper, Kieran, age three, helps with the canning of cherries.
